National Teams - Ages 12-18
Description: These teams are for players who want to commit to playing volleyball at the highest level and are committed to practicing 2-3 times a week and playing in 11 tournaments in the season January-July.
Practices: Teams will practice two-three nights during the week depending on the weekend competition schedule. Tues. Wed. Thurs will be the practice nights. All national teams will practice together on the same night with the exception of the 12's who will practice on Mon/Wed/Fri. Practices will begin Nov 28.
Tournaments: National teams will play in 5 local events which will include GCR Regionals and will travel to 6 events. All National Teams will travel to Atlanta, New Orleans, and Orlando. 16 National Black will also travel to Kansas City and Dallas. 17 National Black will also travel to St. Louis.
Dallas will host the GJNC for 12 and 13 National teams and Las Vegas will host the GJNC for 14-17 National teams. If teams do not qualify for GJNC they will play in the AAU Championships in Orlando.
Commitment Level: If you play another sport, volleyball should be your 1st priority and will have to be the sport you choose if there are conflicts. The goal of our national teams is to qualify for the Girls Junior National Championships held at the end of June and beginning of July (depending on age group). If your team does not qualify, they will play in the AAU Championships in June in Orlando. When you commit to a national team, you are committing to start practice November 28 and play through the end of June (12's-13's) (beginning of July for 14's-17's).
NOTE: (The only exception is the 18's. This team will decide its schedule after tryouts.)
Coaches: Coaches for our nationals teams have multiple years of successful coaching experience in high school, club and college. All our National Team coaches have played collegiate volleyball and or coached collegiate volleyball.
Dedicated Recruiting Coordinator: Laura Johnson is our LAV Recruiting Coordinator. She works with our athletes in our 15's-18's divisions to help guide them in the athlete-driven process of finding the right fit. For 2024 we will be using Sports Recruits, the top recruiting platform in the nation, to aid in our recruiting efforts. A dedicated Recruiting Coordinator and Sports Recruits is included when you play with LAV.
Price: National teams price is $3700-$4100 depending on the events your team has entered for the season. The LAV price is an ALL IN price and includes all tournaments for the entire season through Nationals, all facility costs, coaches expenses, and your LAV equipment.
Parents will pay their own travel for the player/parent to the events. All teams have flexible payment plans as well as an opportunity to individually fundraise.
